Good people, nice property and has that rustic feel. Its not Brooklyn ;)

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. They offer some true privacy because most of the sites are distanced well from each other.

We go here every year and love it

Let me start by saying the owner (woman) was very sweet and helpful, and tried to be accommodating. But this is one CREEPY campground. To make matters worse, there was no cellphone reception. None. This campground is really small and the sites are practically on top of each other. You can't tell where one site ends and the other begins. Kids ran through my site ALL night to go to the bathroom and they were loud! None of the other reviewers mention any of this, which is how I ended up there. But the sites are super small and awkwardly divided. The bushes are overgrown and the trees have low-hanging limbs. I thought I was going to lose my antenna trying to get from the office to my site. And my RV isn't even big. The bathrooms are ancient with poor lighting and scary. Needless to say, I got the hell out of that place.

Not sure what 'Think Big' is talking about there..about how creepy the place is. I've camped across the country and this one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've been to. If you want cell phone reception and lilac scented bathrooms, don't go camping. Sites are also remarkably roomy and private, particularly those on the islands. I've been to 'parking lot' camp grounds before and this is definitely not one of them. The fishing can be remarkable, but what I find the most fascinating about this place is the wild edibles...they're everywhere. Plus, come July, there is no better place on earth to go mushroom hunting, with bolete's as big as your head. If you know what you're doing, you could practically 'eat off the land'. Also, the hike to the waterfalls is a subtle pleasure that other campgrounds just do not have. I suppose this place isn't for everyone, which is fine by me...
